We want to bring true, authentic Franconian brewing craftsmanship to the rest of the world, starting right here in Elephant and Castle, South London. Often overseen in the modern craft beer world is the complexity of lager beers and the drinkability and freshness they embody. Like our partners at Steinbach Bräu in Erlangen who supported our founders since the beginning.

Staying true to our ethos, at German Kraft we brew and serve all our beer right here onsite. This ensures we offer our customers sustainable, unfiltered, beer served fresh from the tank! Come and pay a visit to our Brewery Taproom and try our German style beers for yourself.
Brewing Process
State of the art equipment from ZipTech allows us to use century old German recipes and brew them with precision and consistency. Beer in Germany is very malt-focused in comparison to the hop forward Pale Ales and IPA’s so we get our malt from a family run, speciality malt house from the heart of Franconia, giving our beers the signature German Kraft malt character. Our lager beers are lagered for at least 4 weeks so achieve the smoothness and balance we strive for.
Sustainable London Brewery
The German Kraft brewery also reduces CO2 emissions by 75% compared to the average brewery by eliminating packaging and transportation. Most of the CO2 emissions in beer production comes from producing the glass bottles & aluminium cans and shipping this heavy liquid around the world by truck or by boat. Since we serve our beer from the tank (or sometimes refillable steel kegs) on site at every location we can make beer that is polar bear friendly.

We run regular brewery tours at our South London Brewery in Elephant and Castle.
